A Good Wrap

Rack Diving: 08

So we decided to do something new and post up the entirety of the Rack Diving here on the blogger, pictures and text, while the pictures only go up on tumblr. Seemed like a thing to do. Anyways, we've been pretty absent for a while, and that's pretty lame, but you know school and life got in the way. Winter break was pretty productive, despite the extremely convincing whispers of laziness in our ears, we got a whole bunch of shoots done and they're all pretty cool! So thats for the future! Anyway, let's get down to it!

This time around we went for an evening look, and what better for it than this gorgeous lamé detail wrap dress from Asos!? Unfortunately I don't think they have it up on the site anymore, but they might sneakily bring it back, so keep an eye out!!!

Vikky dolled herself up to look fit for a classy night out. Smokey eye makeup, sleek up-do, and a nice vibrant lip color go really well with her outfit choice. Since she's not wearing much in the way of color, the red on her lips doesn't end up being overkill.

Earrings: Forever 21
Ring: Asos
Bracelet: Mimilicious

For accessories, she opted for this statement piece cocktail ring from Asos. Its giant and gold and not to everyone's taste, but we find it to be stylish and eye-catching. On the other hand she goes with a more subdued ring from forever 21. She's wearing my Mimilicious skull cuff bracelet on one wrist, it's a little edgier than the rest of the outfit, but subtle enough to pass as just another silver bangle if you're not looking close enough. The surprise is always in the details! Lastly, she's got these absolutely gorgeous smoky earrings from F21 on, and they're lovely and elegant and really show how far up F21 has stepped their jewelry game.
Right Ring: Forever 21
Anyway, a wrap dress is always good to own because it accentuates all the parts you want to bring out and flatters the parts you don't necessarily want on full display. This one is a mite short for those of us with longer legs or bigger bums but its nothing some nice 80 denier tights won't solve. Its also go a nice neckline, not too conservative but not the dramatically dipping risque ones some dresses feature, no need to feel overexposed in this dress. Also, you can't see it in these pictures, but it IS a mid-sleeve dress so, for those who don't really like showing off arms, they're covered in this! It's a nice versatile dress for any season and can be dressed up or down for day or evening wear. It's even good for clubs! Trust Asos to cover all the bases.

So that's that for this round! We can't gush enough about the benefits of owning a good wrap, but I'm sure the dissertation on the subject wouldn't be so well received. We styled the dress for a classy evening look, but throw on some boots and a leather jacket and you've got an entirely different look! As always, thanks for reading!
